We Got the House….Yes!!!

Since I mentioned we had  bid on a house and many of you have been asking if we got it or wishing luck and prayers.  We did get the house!!!  We signed the final paperwork last night.  Now we get to have a house inspection and all that good stuff.  We were fortunate enough to talk to the homeowners and they already had an inspection and have already done all the improvements.  So we should be able to pass with flying colors.

Chris was worried that our realtor wasn’t getting the “realtor experience with us”, since she only had to show us one house.  And everything went so smoothly.  That is kind of were we vibe when it comes to houses to buy or rent.  We know when we are ready and can afford it.  Even our mortgage broker smiled when he saw our credit rating.  And coming from really touch financial times when I initially got sick and me not being able to work…what a blessing it was to hear him smile and say you will be qualified for what you want and probably a lot more.

So when we can see the house we are buying again, I’ll take lots of photos so you can rejoice with us.  I know I showed you all a couple of photos from the realtors website, so here is a couple more.

This will be my office. The part of the room you can't see is the built in desk. And yes it is blue my favorite color. This was definitely made for me.

This week for Thursday Lingering Look at Windows: Week 18, I decided to show small or hidden windows.  I hope you enjoy what I posted today.

Small window in an abandoned house.

Small upstairs window. This was the only window on the entire side of the house. A two car garage was underneath.

How It Works?

  1. Most weeks I will come up with a topic and along with a tip on how to take a better photo.  Feel free to write me with things you want to learn about.
  2. Go through you photo archives and see what photos you have that fits the current week’s challenge, or better yet grab you camera and take a new photo!
  3. ENJOY and have FUN.

Share Your World – 2013 Week 20

Do you like winter, or not, and why?

Are you a listener or talker?

What is your favorite juice or fruit drink?

What do you have to be so happy about?

The first since winter is finally getting over in the northern hemisphere and about to start in the southern hemisphere, the first question is all about winter.    It is also preparing us for my next round of Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge of seasons.  This week’s questions are simply for fun!!  Please don’t think a lot  about these, unless of course it is FUN for you.  Simply  dream and just let loose, or you let your alter ego answer.   Have a fabulous week everyone!!

Even though I oftentimes will add photos to my answers, it is not a requirement to participate in Share your World.

NOTE:  Click link to easily find Other Share Your World Week blog entries.

I will be putting out four different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a  Share Your World  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” tag.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.

Here are my answers.

Do you like winter, or not, and why?  In Oregon where I live in the Willamette Valley, winter is usually pretty good.  Yes it rains almost everyday or is at least gray and cloudy.  But the air is fresh, daytime if usually about freezing and our annual snow fall is less than 3″ a year.  So I would say I do enjoy winter.  Would I if it snowed more often…no way!

Are you a listener or talker?  More of a listener, especially if I’m talking to someone I don’t know that well.  Once I know people, I tend to interact a lot more.

What is your favorite juice or fruit drink?  I really don’t drink of a lot of juices or anything like that.  What I would probably say is some hot apple cider with a hint of orange with added cinnamon and nutmeg spaces.

What do you have to be so happy about?   In the last week, Chris and I have been pre-qualified for a home loan and we have found a 1,900 square foot home that we put an offer on yesterday.   We are finding out today (hopefully) if we get the house.  This house has everything on our wish list and more.  Even if our offer isn’t accepted, there are still plenty of houses out there.  We were lucky enough to meet the owners and she was real nice.  Now that is something to be happy about.  Here is two photos of the exterior of the house (from the realtor’s page,  I did not take these photos).  I actually took my camera when we saw the house and didn’t take a single photo.  Opps.  This house has trees, azaleas, roses, peonies already in the front or back yard.  These photos were taken nearly two months ago because the trees and shrubs weren’t bloomed out yet.  The yard to set up where we can plant  plenty of  dahlias, crocus, hyacinths, daffodils and tulips and maybe some bearded irises and perhaps one more tree for Chris.
