SUNDAY POST: Attraction

Jakesprinter’s challenge is back after his move and break from blogging!  You were missed Jake.  His Sunday Post heme this week is Attraction.

Anyhow, I decided to show off the following attractions:

  • Swan Island Dahlia Farm in Canby, Oregon which is a huge attraction in the summertime.
  • Yaquina Head Lighthouse in Newport, Oregon.
  • Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Woodburn, Oregon a springtime attraction.

Hope you enjoy these photos.

Travel theme: Bridges

This week’s Travel Theme is Bridges. Check out what other bridges have been entered.  There are some really cool ones.

Oregon has so many bridges and of all types.  Since I take mainly macro shots, I don’t have a lot of bridges in landscape view, but I did come up with a few for this challenge.  The two I have featured here are of Yaquina Bay Bridge in Newport, Oregon.  Below these photos I have several other bridges.  Click on any of the smaller photos to view a full-sized slide show.  Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a minute to visit my blog.

FrizzText’s A-Z Archive Letter Y Challenge

It’s time for FrizzText’s A-Z Archive challenge and the challenge is the letter Y.  One of my favorite places along the Oregon Coast is Newport where the Yaquina Head Lighthouse and State Park is located as well as the Yaquina Bary Bridge.  So I would like to show you one of my favorite places.

It is hard to pick a favorite, but I will have to go with the light house.  I have walked the 93 feet to the top.  This is Oregon’s tallest lighthouse.

Yaquina Head Lighthouse, Oregon’s tallest lighthouse. It was first lit on August 20, 1873.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Between

For this week’s challenge I thought about the ocean and water between rocks.  I hope you enjoy my photos.  Both photos were taken at Yaquina Head Lighthouse in Newport, Oregon, USA.   On two different days!  See Word Press Weekly Photo Challenge.

Blessings
